Karen Dolan (Boersma) passed away accidentally on 11/25/2019. Karen was a person of deep faith and is now in the Loving Light and Peace of her Lord. She was a graduate of Union High School and attended Davenport College and Cornerstone University. She was very active in sports and swimming where she won several State medals. She worked for many years at Steelcase Inc before taking an early retirement. Karen had many friends in the Native American Community and AA. She worked for Arnies as a Merchandiser for the past two years and was well thought of by those she worked with. Karen was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Roy and Roma Boersma, and sister Marilyn Boersma. She is survived by her Daughter Stacey Chadbourne and 4 Grandchildren, Imani, Robert Jr., Leonardo and Devonaire Simmons. Sisters, Nancy (John) Davis, Jeanne Boersma. Nephew James DeMaar (Sylvia O’Keefe) and several cousins. The Memorial Service will held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at The Coptic Center, O-381 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534 with John Davis and Laura Erickson officiating.
